Obama Blows it Again

1

The civilized world joined in solidarity against Islamic terrorism in Paris this past Sunday.  So, who’s missing from the above photo?  Well, let’s see, we’ve got the President or Prime Minister (the top guys) of France, Great Britain, Germany, Israel, and the Palestinians, and many other European and world leaders there, but not the United States.

Well, the American Ambassador was there.  But she’s there all the time anyway.

President Obama didn’t necessarily need to be there himself (after all, there were NFL playoff games to watch), but he could have easily sent Vice President Joe Biden (someone once said that’s what God created Vice Presidents to do, attend funerals and such), or Secretary of State John Kerry, who was already scheduled to visit France later this week anyway (he speaks French after all.)

2

Or even Attorney General Eric Holder could have represented the United States, since he was in France on other business anyway.  But no, a lowly ambassador was sufficient, since the Obama Administration doesn’t want to elevate Islamic terrorism to something that’s all that important.  It’s just workplace violence after all.

The President’s spokesman, Josh Earnest initially referred to the attack as just violence, not Islamic terrorism, or even just terrorism, but just violence.  Listening to the President’s spokesman, we could have been discussing a carjacking or a purse snatching.

As I’ve been saying for quite some time now, we have no chance of defeating this enemy if we are afraid to even say its name: radical Islamic Jihadist terrorism (or some combination of those terms.)

And whereas the Paris attacks resulted in the deaths of 14 innocent victims, and is an outrage, these attacks pale in comparison to the human misery being wrought by Islamic terrorism in other parts of the world.  For example, the Nigerian Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram (the scum who kidnapped and sold into slavery 200 innocent schoolgirls) is believed to have murdered as many as 2,000 mostly women, children, and elderly people who couldn’t run away fast enough when Boko Haram ransacked the town of Baga, near the Nigeria/Chad border.  Each one of those 2,000 innocent lives was every bit as valuable and as great a loss as each one of the 14 innocents killed in Paris.  But the world press has all but ignored this unfolding human tragedy.

Sometime back, President Obama declared that “this war (the war on terror) like all wars, must end.”  That’s nice.  But wishing something so, and even a President declaring something so, doesn’t necessarily make it so.  As long as the enemy is determined to continue the fight, you better darn well fight back, harder and smarter, or you will end up under the heel of that enemy, or dead.

The Jihadist terrorists aren’t about to give up.  And neither must we.
