The Cincinnati Tea Party

It was truly heartening to see thousands and thousands of patriotic Americans gather on Fountain Square this past Sunday to protest the unprecedented spending spree now occurring in Washington.  I was honored to be asked to be the keynote speaker at this grass-roots event, and hopefully it will be only the first of many in a national movement to take our country back.

It is clear that more and more people are fed up with a Congress and an Administration that seem bound and determined to take more and more of our hard earned money, and spend it in wasteful ways that will burden us, our children, and our grandchildren, with more and more debt.

This Administration tipped its hand on what is really at stake when President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, and latter Hillary Clinton, both stated that they “wouldn’t let a crisis go to waste.”  In other words, they intend to exploit these tough economic times and the resulting pain the American people are going through, to push their left-wing agenda.  More government, more spending, higher taxes, national healthcare, Congress becoming, in effect, a National School Board on education, the list goes on and on.

This is not change we can believe in, and the Cincinnati Tea Party is evidence that Conservative America is finding its voice.
