Thank You

Thank you for bestowing upon me the honor of representing you in Congress for another two years. I won by about twice the margin I did in my previous race back in 2018. That time by about 4 points – this time by about 7 points (despite some political pundits predicting that I was going to lose.)

It’s not surprising that my races tend to be close, as it’s the Republican-held Ohio congressional district that President Trump won by the narrowest margin back in 2016, and again last night – about 5 points.

As I write this blog, it’s about 9:30 AM today, Wednesday, November 4, 2020. Right now we still don’t know whether Donald Trump or Joe Biden will be our President for the next four years. Votes are still being counted in a few key states.

Locally, it was a tough night for Republicans. Democrats made additional inroads in winning the sheriff’s and treasurer’s offices and a number of judicial seats. Some good Republicans lost as the county continued its transformation from a red to a purple to a blue county over recent decades (principally due to demographic changes.)

It is my commitment to you to continue to give it my all in representing you in the U.S. House of Representatives (whoever is President, and whichever party controls the House and the Senate.) Please let me know if I can be of any help to you or your family.

God bless, and see you next week (maybe we’ll know who’s going to be our President by then.)
