A Debate Worth Watching? Probably Not…

Well, here we go again. Ten Democratic presidential candidates on the stage. This time at Texas Southern University in Houston. And this one will last the longest so far (just what we need.)

Two of the top candidates, Joe Biden and Elizabeth Warren, will be on the stage together for the first time. Warren of course is a liberal’s liberal. Biden is usually described as a “moderate” by the mainstream press. Don’t buy it. He’s a liberal too, just not as crazy-liberal as most of the rest of the bunch.

You know, John F Kennedy wouldn’t recognize today’s Democratic Party. He was for a stronger national defense and lower taxes. Democrats now want to raise taxes, substantially – some to 70%, even 90%.  WHAT’S WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?

Bernie Sanders used to be way out on the fringy edge of the Democratic Party. Now he’s mainstream. I really don’t think he has much of a chance to win the Democratic nomination, but he’s still in the hunt.

The Democratic laundry list of wacky ideas, is truly frightening. The Green New Deal (they virtually all support it) no cars, no planes, no cows, (no jobs.) Free healthcare for illegal aliens. Reparations. Open borders. A guaranteed income for everyone – even if you refuse to work.  The list goes on and on.

I would submit that the Republican agenda – lower taxes, a strong national defense, freedom. That’s an agenda worth getting excited about.
