How Do We Stop This Insanity?

It’s my firm belief that the Democrats are doing great harm to our country. And of course as a result of the previous election, they are in complete control of the US House, the Senate, and the White House.

What harm have they done? Well, let’s start at our southern border. President Trump’s policies there were working – ending “catch and release”, requiring asylum-seekers to stay in Mexico while their cases were being considered, and building the wall were having the desired effect – finally getting control of our border. Then Biden took office and reversed all that, resulting in record high illegal immigration, COVID-positive immigrants flowing into the country, and deadly fentanyl killing tens of thousands of our fellow citizens.

At our northern border, Biden killed the Keystone Pipeline and all the jobs it would have meant. On our streets, lack of support for the police has made many of our cities even more deadly than they already were. In our schools, “critical race theory” means our kids are being taught to hate their country and that “reverse racism” is acceptable. Racism, of any kind, is unacceptable. This Marxist philosophy is corrosive, and has no business being taught in our schools. And in our pocketbooks and wallets, our money is becoming less valuable, as the Democrats’ reckless spending is causing inflation to skyrocket. Remember when gas was under $2 per gallon? Now it’s over $3 in many places.

And then there’s Afghanistan – what a disgrace! After September 11,2001, we went in there to make sure that country would no longer harbor terrorists who could hit us again here at home. For the last 20 years, it worked. Now Biden has thrown away the sacrifices of so many brave men and women, and we once again have a safe haven for terrorists, who because of Biden’s hasty, chaotic pullout, will be armed with $85 billion worth of sophisticated American weaponry to be used against us.

What’s the answer to this sorry state of affairs? Taking the power away from the irresponsible Democrats in the House and the Senate in 2022, and from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2024.

And the road to accomplishing that leads right through our congressional district – the First Congressional District of Ohio. There are 435 seats in the US House of Representatives. We only need to flip five of those seats in order to take the gavel out of the hands of Nancy Pelosi.

Of course she knows that, and she is determined to do everything in her power to prevent that from happening. So she’s announced she’s targeting 21 of the current 210 Republican-held seats in the House to offset any losses she has on her side. These 21 seats are the toughest ones for a Republican to hold, typically because of demographics or other similar factors.

The seat I hold is one of them. Of the 12 Republican-held seats in Ohio, it’s the only one targeted, and it’s the seat President Trump carried by the narrowest margin each of the last two election cycles.

Pelosi will make sure that huge amounts of left-wing special interest money flows into the races against the 21 of us who are targeted. The vast majority of that money will be used to saturate the airwaves with vicious, distorted attack ads. I can tell you from experience that it’s not pleasant to be the target of such viciousness. But I’m willing to endure the attacks I know are coming because I believe so strongly in the justice of our cause – saving our country.

But I need your help. I need to raise enough money for my campaign to overcome the other side’s lies and distortions with the truth. I don’t need to raise as much as the opposition will have – in fact, we were outspent about two-to-one by The Left in my last two elections. But we have to raise enough.

So please, will you consider chipping in? This quarter ends at the end of this month, September 30, and if you’re able to contribute by then, it would really help.

You can contribute online here, or you can send a check to: Chabot for Congress 5750 Given Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45243.

Thank you so much for your help. I greatly appreciate it.
