There are approximately 40 million people who call Afghanistan home. A little over 20 million of them are women and girls. For the last year, the quality of their lives has deteriorated significantly. They are well on their way from modernity to a form of 7th century slavery. And one person is primarily responsible for this atrocity – Joe Biden.
Sure, the Taliban are the ones actually carrying out the abomination. But we knew what they were like. We knew what they’d do if they were in power again. We knew who would suffer. But Joe Biden didn’t care.
He just wanted to get out. To cut and run. To embarrass the United States on the world stage. And now we – really the innocent women and girls who are condemned to experience what passes for life today in Afghanistan – are reaping what Joe Biden has sown.
The United Nations has just declared Afghanistan “the world’s worst humanitarian crisis.” And that’s really something when you consider how desperate things are in such places as Ethiopia, South Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. But Joe Biden doesn’t care.
Afghanistan‘s healthcare system is a shambles. Poverty has skyrocketed, and people are literally starving to death, particularly children. Women have been barred from the few universities that are still functional; in fact, girls are excluded from receiving an education at all beyond 12 years of age. And women have been summarily dismissed from their jobs all over the country. It’s a nightmare for half the population, not that things are great for men and boys, unless of course you are one of the ruling Taliban.
Over the weekend, several dozen women took to the street and tried to protest the inhumane state of their existence. Live rounds from AK-47’s and US weapons that had been abandoned to the Taliban by the Biden administration‘s chaotic withdrawal from the country, were fired over the women’s heads. The terrified women rapidly dispersed, or the next rounds would have been into their heads. But Joe Biden doesn’t care.
Our CIA was successful recently in taking out Al-Qaeda‘s leader, Amman Al-Zawahiri, with a drone missile on his porch in Kabul. That’s a good thing. However, Joe Biden had claimed that there were no Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, and if their leader felt confident enough to be brazenly hanging out on his porch in Afghanistan‘s capital, you’ve got to figure there are a whole lot more Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan than just their leader.
Afghanistan has become just what we went into Afghanistan following September 11 to stop in the first place – a haven for terrorists. But Joe Biden doesn’t care.
It’s truly a sorry state of affairs. US foreign policy under the Biden administration is just as bad as it’s domestic policy: 40-year high inflation, a record crime wave, no security at our southern border resulting in over 100,000 fentanyl deaths in just the last year, and on and on. But Joe Biden just doesn’t care.
Change can’t come soon enough. It begins on November 8.
