The Democrats are doing a great deal of damage to our country. It’s happening on so many fronts at the same time that it’s hard to grasp the scope of it. And the public is informed about Biden’s/the Democrats actions through the biased mainstream media, and therefore much of the damage is actually portrayed as progress.
Let’s begin at our southern border. Since the Biden administration took office, huge numbers of people have been illegally streaming into the country. Even though Biden/the Democrats tried to suppress news coverage at the overcrowded detention centers, a few photos slipped through. The public was stunned. The Biden administration was embarrassed.
Now it’s a few months later. The press is now invited into the detention facilities and voila – they’re not as crowded anymore. Problem solved, right? Hardly. The illegal immigrants are just being more quickly transferred to other government facilities away from the border, or transported to states across the nation and released. Many are given a court date years down the road, and history shows that 99% of them will never show up for that hearing, and just disappear into the population. Irreparable damage is being done to the country.
Another area where considerable damage is being done is to our energy independence. The Trump administration had made considerable progress in the area of energy independence. The Keystone Pipeline was finally under construction after years of radical environmental obstruction. Thousands of American jobs were being created. Gas prices at the pump were under two dollars per gallon. Then Biden and the Dems took over. The religion of climate change and the Green New Deal are now on the march. The Keystone Pipeline was killed – along with all those jobs. Gas prices are now over three dollars per gallon. And people are being pushed out of the cars they love and into expensive electric vehicles, that are heavily subsidized by our tax dollars.
And speaking of tax dollars, President Biden and Democrats in Congress are determined to raise taxes – on virtually everyone. They say it’ll only be on the rich – but we know better. We’re all going to be hit – hard. And those tax dollars will be used for “free” stuff like free college, and free healthcare, and free housing, and free you name it. Let somebody else pay for it. After all, it’s free.
I could go on and on, but you get the picture. The left is energized. They’re in complete control now – they have the House, the Senate, and the White House. And they think they know how to spend your money better than you do. And they are bound and determined to remake America into the country they think it ought to be.
Is it inevitable that they will prevail? In my opinion, no. Is there anything we can do to stop the left’s onslaught? In my view, yes. And it starts with Republicans taking back the House in 2022. We need to pick up at least five seats currently held by Democrats. And we need to hold Republican seats that Democrats are targeting. My seat happens to be one of those.
Nancy Pelosi recently listed the Republican-held seats that Democrats are targeting. There are 21 of them out of the 200+ seats Republicans currently hold – so about one in 10. My seat is the only one in Ohio. This is, of course, nothing new for me. Democrats have targeted my seat the last two election cycles, spending millions and millions of dollars trying to defeat me, and replace me with a reliable liberal vote.
