Chabot Sues Schroder Over False Attacks Designed To Distract Voters From Her Failed Record And Radical Agenda

Campaign Will Continue To Expose Democratic Candidate’s Dishonest Campaign And Ensure Voters Are Given The Facts

Congressman Steve Chabot filed a lawsuit in Hamilton County court Thursday against his Democratic opponent Kate Schroder and her campaign. The complaint, filed by Cincinnati attorney Brian Shrive, outlines how Schroder and her campaign aired false claims so egregious in a television ad that they violate the law.

“It is clear Kate Schroder is so afraid of voters learning the truth about her record of scandal, mismanagement and bad judgment at the Cincinnati Board of Health, or about her radical positions like her support for the extreme Green New Deal that would bankrupt Ohio, that she is willing to say anything, no matter how false, to distract voters,” said Chabot campaign spokesman Jon Conradi. “Kate Schroder was caught being blatantly dishonest in her introduction to voters and she has refused to take responsibility and must be held accountable for her dishonest campaign and false attacks — that are so egregious she was forced to pull her first ad off the air.”

“No less an authority than the FBI demonstrated Schroder’s bogus claims were completely fraudulent,” Conradi added. “It is frankly sad that Schroder is so desperate to distract from her failed record and radical agenda that she would attack the victim of a crime and try to score political points to get her flailing political career off the ground.”
