This weekend, millions of Americans will pay tribute to the brave soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who have paid the ultimate price to preserve our freedom. Our nation has been blessed that so many have answered the call of duty and today we take time to honor their sacrifice.
Today, many of our courageous men and women in uniform find themselves in remote regions of the world fighting those who would do us harm at home. It is critical that we continue to support those who dedicate their lives to defend our country. I will continue to work to ensure that our veterans have access to the necessary medical care and educational opportunities they need to make a successful transition back into civilian life.
